After years of roasting coffee for other people, Cat took the leap in Nov 2021 to start her own business.
She started in a small shed with a 1kg and in Sep 2022, opened a cafe roastery and purchased a 5kg Diedrich coffee roaster with the help of a council grant.
She's used her experience as a coffee taster, buyer and judge to select and roast great tasting coffees. The coffee is bought from small scale coffee importers who we trust.

SIANA - Head Roaster
Siana joined the team in Oct 2022 as a barista and has helped shape the feel of the cafe roastery. Siana is now a qualified coffee roaster.
With years of coffee making under their belt, Siana brings her expertise when training our wholesale customers.
ELSPETH - Barista
Elspeth grew up around the corner and has very quickly learnt the barista ropes. Her dream to become a rollerskating waitress is slowly becoming reality.
Lottie - Production Roaster and Sales Manager
Everyone's favourite Northener! When they're not lecturing at university, then they're selling beans or roasting them. When they're not doing that, they are playing in their band Bruxism.
Liza- Production Roaster and Barista Trainer
AKA 'Spanners' Our wonderfully skilled barista trainer and latteart extrodanaire! They know everything there is to know about slime and witches.
Alice- Barista
Alice joined the team just last year but is already a fab barista. When she's not at work, she's taking photos or doing some cool art project.
Ray - Cafe Manager and Roastery Assisant
Our newest team member Ray brings her wonderful Welsh friendliness and is also a fab singer and songwriter.
Khalid- Trainee Barista
Khalid is also a local Bristolian, who has a very bright future ahead of him. He joined us at 16 and is an important part of our team.
We run free coffee workshops
for under represented folk in the coffee industry. We especially welcome any Black, Brown, Mixed Heritage folk.
